News-Antique.com - Aug 04,2016 - Philadelphia, PA – For Immediate Release – August 4, 2016 –
Savvy vintage and antique lovers will get their fill on a small-group antique shopping tour to flea markets, shops, wholesalers and antique markets in Belgium and Germany, offered by Philadelphia-based Treasures of Europe Tours this fall.
The antique buying tour runs from September 23 – October 4, 2016. It features new destinations and under-the-radar sources in parts of Europe many Americans overlook, says dealer Tom Conrad, who will lead the tour. Space is limited.
Vintage finds, antiques, mid-century modern, art, industrial antiques, vintage antique furniture, estate treasures, decorative arts, retro, lighting, classic antiques and furnishings in all price ranges will be on tap during the tour.
“Germany and Belgium are terrific alternatives to higher-priced France, Italy and the U.K., where many American antique lovers and vintage fans gravitate,” says Conrad.
“Prices at the markets and shops we visit are reasonable and dealers are motivated,” he added.
That, plus the strong dollar and the fact that most purchases are tax free, makes the tour attractive for dealers, designers, online sellers and collectors who are shopping for quality antiques and vintage finds.
Stops include imperial Leipzig, small towns and villages in the nooks and crannies of Franconia and Saxony, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage City, Bamberg. In addition, the group will visit Belgium’s fabled antiques capital, Tongeren, as well as dealers in Antwerp, Lokeren, Temse and other villages and towns in the Flemish-speaking part of the country.
The fall antiques and vintage tour is all inclusive and fully guided. It starts and ends in Frankfurt. Airport transfers, prep materials, full itinerary, private coach, driver, accommodations, breakfast, guide, technical assistance and help with translation are included.
The tour is designed to take the stress out of antiquing. Buy a little or a lot. Take your treasures home on the plane or take advantage of our cost-effective shared shipping “We take care of the details so participants can focus on ‘the hunt,’” says Conrad.
Treasures of Europe has made a name for its antique and vintage tours. The trips are geared to professionals, but are also open to collectors and design-minded people. They have been featured in Country Living, USA Today, Australian House and Garden and the trade media.
This is a popular tour and there are only a few spaces left. Reserve now. Essentials, pricing, itinerary and reservations at www.TreasuresOfEuropeTours.com.
