DANBURY, CT…. It’s time to Recycle in Style.™ The 10,000 square foot gym at the Police Athletic League Building, 35 Hayestown Road in Danbury, CT, will again be brimming with style and color from the Victorian era through the 1980’s. Show hours on April 5th and 6th are from 10 AM – 5 PM Saturday and Sunday, with a jump-start at 8:30 AM Saturday for $15 (coffee/tea included). Regular admission is $7 (good for free re-entry all weekend) while there is no charge for children 12 and under. Sunday, high school and college students with photo ID are admitted free.
This popular show draws customers from near and far who are creative minded individuals, collectors, retailers and costumers. They will find vintage costume, estate and fine antique jewelry including Mexican, Scandinavian, and Bakelite. The vintage clothing offered will span the Victorian era through the 1980’s and can be found for men, women and children. Cute summer dresses, formal wear and fabulous prom attire will be plentiful. Find fun accessories include hats, belts, shoes, gloves, lingerie, purses, scarves, sleepwear, hankies and more. Dressing table items and compacts will be offered and there will be sewing accessories such as buttons. Colorful 1950’s tablecloths and lace can be found in the textiles and linens category.
From I-84 Westbound exit 6 turn right onto North Street. At the first light turn right onto Hayestown Avenue. At the end turn left onto Tamarack Ave., which becomes E. Hayestown Rd. At stop sign bear right onto Hayestown Rd., PAL building is on the right. From Eastbound exit 5, go through the stop sign, down hill and continue straight through the traffic light onto North St. At fourth light turn right onto Hayestown Ave. and follow from above. Follow the yellow signs. Authentic Caribbean and American cuisine will be served by La Perle Restaurant. If coming by train take the Metro-North Railroad Danbury Line.
