CORDIER AUCTIONS TO SELL WAR PERIOD 1911/1911A1 FIREARM COLLECTION & CONFEDERATE OFFICER INSCRIBED C Cordier Auctions will hold their Spring Firearms and Militaria Auction in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 24. Highlights of the sale include a Confederate Officer inscribed Civil War era revolver.
pistols by Colt, Smith & Wesson and Ruger will also be offered.
Military collectibles will cover the Civil War through World War II. Civil War items include muster rolls, letters, lithographs and a gunner’s powder horn. A highlight is a leather artillery gunner’s pouch marked “WATERTOWN ARESENAL 1865” (estimate $300 to $400). World War I and World War II items include helmets, belts, medals, a military watch and a Barr & Stroud rangefinder estimated at $300 to $500.
Military collectibles will be followed by edged weapons and include American blades as well as foreign. Two Nazi unit marked police dress daggers in their scabbards will be offered, carrying estimates of $400-$600 each. A Nazi Army dagger with scabbard and porte pee is being offered with an estimate of $350 to $550 while a Franco-Prussian Era German police sword with original scabbard and frog is estimated at $300 to $500.
Art, Ned Smith prints, taxidermy and other items will follow the edged weapons. The sale concludes with a wide selection of non-cataloged military and sporting equipment.
