coffee pot and sugar bowl are features of the silver offering. The boys’ father, William Christmas Codman, worked at and was the chief designer for Gorham. These pieces are reminiscent of the Martele style. There is also a Continental three-light candelabrum, notable because the center candle socket is supported on a stylized birdcage.
Art glass is represented by a French Art Nouveau Daum Nancy “Autumn” enamel-decorated table lamp. It has been in a Florida collection for the last fifty years, so this is a rare opportunity for someone to reunite the lamp with the other seasons, should they be lucky enough to own the others.
Some notable jewelry is in the auction, such as the 14K yellow and white gold emerald and diamond necklace. This is part of a suite that includes matching earrings, brooch and ring. There an 18K yellow gold, diamond and ruby heavy link bracelet from a San Francisco collector; an Edwardian gold, platinum, diamond and garnet brooch; and a yellow gold emerald, diamond and ruby butterfly motif pin.
Amongst the fashion items are a selection of handbags and fur coats. The notable example being an Hermes brown crocodile Birkin bag, French, 20th century.
