Modern Furniture
In addition to an array of Arts & Crafts and Danish Modern pieces, notable furniture offerings include a pair of Mira Nakashima conoid cushion chairs (lot 562, $4,000 to $5,000) and a walnut Wohls end table by George Nakashima (lot 566, $2,500 to $3,500).
Several Warren Platner for Knoll International designs will be offered, including a set of four armchairs (lot 546, $4,000 to $6,000) and a low table (lot 545, $700 to $900).
A collection of Edward Wormley for Dunbar furniture will also be sold, most notably a beautiful sideboard with a marble top from the Hemisphere Collection (lot 452, $3,000 to $5,000).
20th Century Art
From the early 20th century come works such as Alphonse Marie Mucha’s Les Saisons suite, which decorates a four panel Art Nouveau screen (lot 110, $20,000 to $25,000) and studies by Harold Edgerton (lots 358-360, from $1,000 to $2,000). More contemporary works include Cletus Johnson’s ethereal Moon sculpture (lot 549, $800 to $1,000) and various abstract works by Taro Yamomoto. A first edition of Andy Warhol’s Index Book (lot 653, $400 to $600) and Roy Lichtenstein’s As I Opened Fire… a triptych (lot 634, $700 to $900) add a touch of pop to the sale’s accessible art selection.

Previews for the auction will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012, 12 p.m.-5 p.m. and Friday, December 14, 2012, 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
