dragon vase (estimate: $1000 – 1500); an 'Amphora' pottery portrait vase featuring the ‘’Winter Queen’’ (estimate: $1000 – 1500); and a Tiffany Studios ‘’Twisted Vines’’ patinated bronze lamp base consigned from a private collection (estimate: $15,000 – 25,000).
Mid-century modern designs include a Philip and Kelvin Laverne etched bronze ‘’Etruscan’’ dining table, and a group of three stoneware pieces from the celebrated Claremont ceramicists Harrison Macintosh and Rupert Deese. Works by the two artists, who shared a studio for decades and shared a Japanese-influenced aesthetic of simplicity, are held by many major museums, including the Los Angeles County museum and the Smithsonian. The ribbed vase and large bowl by Macintosh retain the artists’ paper labels, and are offered with estimates of $800 – 1000 and $1200 – 1800 respectively, while Deese’s striped vase is offered for $700 – 900.
Clock enthusiasts will clamor for the sixteen clocks offered from various private collections, including a number of carriage clocks, such as a French 'Giant' brass repeater (estimate: $4000 – 6000), a French polychrome-enameled double carriage barometer/clock (estimate: $800 – 1200), and specimens by Boston Clock Company, ranging in estimate from $400 - $3000. Fine art will include a range of European, British and American oils, watercolors, prints and scuptures dating from the mid 19th to late 20th centuries.
