New York City Kips Bay Neighborhood Sale June 9 New York City Residents, PS116 is sponsoring a “I DON’T HAVE A GARAGE, GARAGE SALE” on SATURDAY, JUNE 9TH to benefit the school with 40 vendor spaces for regular people to sell their treasures.
News-Antique.com - Jun 04,2012 - Located in the new GREEN SPACE adjacent to the Second Avenue Roadway on Second Ave. between 30th Street & 33rd Street by the Kips Bay Movie Theater, this is a great opportunity to clean out all those things in your home but have not had the place to hold a garage sale where people who want your treasures would find them.
The good news is that regular people can set up and sell household items, re-gifted gifts, antiques and collectibles to an audience of active New Yorkers so please bring everything and anything you hope will sell!
This is a free event to attend. There will be roughly 40 people selling personal items. There will be no professional vendors, this is all local people who are looking to do a spring cleaning and get some of their items out of the house and make some extra summer spending money.
If you are interested in having a space to sell your items, there is a cost, which will be donated to the local PS 116. The total cost per spot is $15.00 plus 10% of sales to be donated to the school. Each space will roughly be 10’x10’ and some display tables are available first come first served.
To assist families seeking to go home with an empty car or van, the sponsors will have a charity arrive at the end of the day to take any remaining items from the sellers and provide a tax deduction receipt.
If selling your personal items is something you would like to do, please contact Peter Rosegarten at 917-603-3395.
