WW2 Serviceman's Diary of J. Ferris Brogan of Ridgewood NJ, begins in Pearl Harbor in May 1945 and ends in Guam in July 1946, 76 pages, single sided in pen ink, detailing being on board the ship USS LSM 465 in the Sea of Japan, beginning May 13, 1945, the ship made stops in Okinawa, ship entered Nagasaki on Sept. 24, 1945 and this documents an eye witness recounting of the sity after the Atomic Bomb of Aug. 9, he eloquently describes the shanties, poor people, a ChristianChurch that remained among the destruction from the bombing, they were part of the "initial occupation," extensive detailed literature, accurately written descriptive text, would make a great movie or book, includes typed translation of book, 6.25" x 8.25," cloth bound, good condition
This story would make a great movie, Mr. Spielberg.
