News-Antique.com - Nov 11,2011 - The collection will include a James II spool-turned walnut Flemish tapestry upholstered settee ($1,500-$2,500); a George III style ebonized and satinwood inlaid mahogany serpentine sideboard, mid-19th century ($1,000-$1,500); a Victorian figured mahogany chest-on-chest, circa 1840 ($1,500-$2,500); a Federal style curly maple tall case clock, dial signed R.(iley) WHITING/ WINCHESTER, (Connecticut) ($2,000-$4,000); a Chippendale walnut step-back cupboard, Pennsylvania, last quarter 18th century ($5,000-$10,000); a Federal birch, partial ebonized maple and bird's-eye maple gentleman's bureau, attributed to Otis Warren (1807-1857), Pomfret, VT, circa 1820 ($2,000-$3,000); and a New England stencil decorated and black painted pine blanket chest of drawers, first quarter 19th century ($2,000-$3,000).
Standouts among the decorative arts include an American molded full-body copper and cast-zinc 'Rooster' weathervane, attributed to L. W. Cushing & Co. (1865-1933), Waltham, MA, early 20th century ($2,000-$3,000); a theorem watercolor on velvet by David Y. Ellinger (American 1913-2003) of a still life of basket of fruit ($2,000-$3,000); and a Federal parcel gilt mahogany and eglomisé panel presentation 'Banjo' clock, dial bears signature Aaron Willard/ Boston, which is estimated to bring $2,000-$3,000.
