Pasadena, CA—John Moran Auctioneers is delighted to announce their November 5th luxury clothing and accessories auction, a catalogued sale of more than 400 lots. For the first time, the Southern California auction house, renowned for its monthly sales of fine art and antiques, is devoting an entire major sale to the art of fashion. Included are shoes and handbags by some of the most coveted designers of the 21st century, a cache of jewelry by New York designer Ted Muehling, and vintage and designer clothing from the 1960’s to the 90’s. Bidding for each lot will open at $20. The event is open to the public and will kick off with a gala preview the evening of Friday, November 4th, with the live auction starting at noon on Saturday, November 5th. Bidding is available in person or online through artfact.com.
Comprising more than half the sale is a dazzling trove of 220 lots of never-worn shoes and over 60 lots of handbags, by luminaries such as Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Judith Leiber and many more, that arrives at auction from a single consignor. Purchased mostly in the early 2000’s, safely stored ever since and maintained in impeccable condition, most items are accompanied by their original packaging, and many retain their certificates of authenticity. Also offered are accessories such as Hermes scarves and cashmere throws, Jo Malone fragrances, and jewelry by New York designer Ted Muehling.
The selection of designer women’s clothing offers a range of iconic styles, highlighted by evening and day dresses, coats, suits and sportswear by Chanel, La Croix, Lagerfeld, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Prada, Chanel, Hermes, Courreges, and Gaulthier, and a large number of elegant, classic creations dating from the 1960’s and 70’s that arrive from the collection of a lady of exceptional taste.
