Tradewinds “Second Chance” internet-only cane sale. We have been made aware that there are many who wanted to participate in our September 24, 2011 live auction but because of scheduling, weather concerns, or other conflicts were unable to do so. Also
News-Antique.com - Sep 29,2011 - There are a number of very good quality canes that were unsold. They will be offered in a “second chance” sale using our own Internet Auction Facility. These pieces will be presented to everyone via internet-only bidding.
Previewing for the sale will commence on Thursday, Sept29, 2011 at 8:00PM EDT and the auction will end on Sunday, Oct 2, 2011 at 8:00PM EDT. Actual bidding begins at 8:00PM EDT on Friday, September 30, 2011.
Offerings will follow our Live Auction format of realistic estimates and sensible starting prices and there are no hidden reserves. Those of you who may be new to the process or have not participated in our online sales for a while are reminded that you enter the sales room by clicking on “Online Auctions”. At the Online Auction Menu on Thursday, please select “Preview Upcoming Auctions” to preview and then on Friday at 8:00 PM ET, select “Current Online Auctions” to view, place bids, and watch progress.
Finally, you have to register to bid so if you have not yet done so, click “Register to Bid” at the Online Auction Entrance page and follow the prompts. (Earlier registrations remain valid and can be used for all our internet-only sales. There is no need to register again.)
This is a unique opportunity to make up for what was missed, thanks to the wonder of technology.
