A Brent Cockbain Wales shirt from the 2003 World Cup, signed by the entire Wales squad, made £1,000 at a charity auction in February 2004 for the Alzheimer's Society.
9. England v France World Cup 2003 ball - £1,900
A game-used rugby ball, from the England v France World Cup semi-final in November 2003, made £1,900 at a Graham Budd Auctions sale in May 2006. The consignor caught the ball in the stand, following a successful drop-goal by England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson.
8. Australia v England 1991 World Cup final ball - £2,115
An official match ball used in the 1991 World Cup final between Australia and England achieved £2,115 at Bonhams in January 2004.
7. Fred Jowett’s caps - £2,400
Four rugby union and league caps, awarded to flying Welsh winger Fred Jowett in the early 1900s, for appearances for Wales and the British Isles, among others, sold for £2,400 at a Graham Budd Auctions sale in May 2008.

A blue France rugby union shirt, worn in a match against New Zealand in 1925, sold for £2,880 at Christie’s in April 2007.
3. Martin Johnson’s 2003 World Cup final boots - £4,680
The boots England captain Martin Johnson wore during the 2003 World Cup final sold at Bonhams for £4,680 in February 2010. The black and yellow Adidas boots came with a signed photograph of Johnson receiving a cast of them.
2. 1910 Wales v England jersey - £5,040
A Wales rugby union jersey, worn in a match against England in 1910 by Ben Gronow, made £5,040 at Christie’s in November 2006. Gronow switched codes to league later in the year.
1. Tom Broadley's medal collection - £5,280
A collection of late 19th and early 20th century medals and badges, awarded to Yorkshire and England forward Tom Broadley, sold for £5,280 at Sotheby’s in February 2003. The seven medals and three badges included a 15 carat medal presented to Broadley following Yorkshire's two tries to nil victory over England in 1892.
