News-Antique.com - Aug 05,2011 - WhatSellsBest.com, a website tracking rare auction items selling on eBay, is reporting bids have passed $9,000 on day six of a seven day auction, for a rare vintage Ferrari Owners Manual.
The manual, for a Ferrari 250 model (manufactured between 1953 and 1964) is considered to be one of Ferrari's most successful and collectible car lines. The Ferrari 250 California Spyder in particular can fetch multi-million dollar bids.
According to James Massey the (WSB) sites publisher; "This auction provides a great example of how a secondary accessory item, or even parts for rare collectibles, sometimes hold tremendous value among collectors. Especially when that collector's bought a million dollar item, and needs something (i.e., a missing manual) to complete it."
