News-Antique.com - Jul 20,2011 - WhatSellsBest.com, a website tracking rare items auctioned on eBay, is reporting bids have passed $10,000 on day six of a ten day auction, for a rare pair of vintage Cowboy Spurs, listed to sell on eBay.
According to the sellers listing, the Cowboy Spurs were made by a renowned spur-maker to celebrate the Texas centennial in 1936, which marked Texas 100th anniversary of independence from Mexico (1836).
James Massey, WSB's publisher stated; "American history buffs often love antique spurs because they represent such a substantial part of U.S. history. But it's a combination of the spur, and the spur-makers name, that have ignited the type of fierce bidding we've seen in this auction."
