A superb example of the work of Los Angeles painter William Lees Judson (1842 – 1948), a dockside harbor scene with boats titled Old San Pedro, found an eager buyer at $19,200 (estimate: $10,000 – 15,000). Two stunning High Sierras mountain landscapes by Edgar Payne (1883 – 1947 Los Angeles, CA), Fifth Lake High Sierra and Palisades Glacier- Calif. Sierras, exceeded their high estimates of $50,000 and $25,000, bringing $57,000 and $30,000 respectively.
