News-Antique.com - Jun 08,2011 - The sale includes antique American long arms and Kentucky rifles, Fine Art, an assortment of silver, jewelry, furniture, Native American items, and Chinese art.
The Estate of Larry Lacquement comprises a large section of the auction. The Lacquement collection includes numerous examples of primarily Federal furniture, most of it in cherry or walnut. In the auction as well are fire place bellows, spatterware ceramics, bed warmers and Native American beadwork.
Other highlights include a New York Federal Tall Clock, made by Mitchell & Mott, some period English and American case furniture, including quality Williamsburg reproductions.
Additionally, there are English terracotta chimney pots, wood block prints, all types of smalls, cast- and wrought-iron, including a four-light hanging wall sconce in the manner of noted Philadelphia iron artisan Samuel Yellin.
A number of antique American long arms come from a New York State consignor. Primarily comprising 19th century examples of percussion “Kentucky” rifles, there are also some earlier flint-lock examples. There are two swiveling over-under rifles and three Wyoming Buffalo Guns by the Sharps Manufacturing Company.
