S&S Timms Antiques Announces New iPhone App It is now possible to enter a shop full of antique furniture and accessories on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch anywhere in the world (subject to signal).
News-Antique.com - Jun 06,2011 - OnlineGalleries.com have just completed developing their first App for an antiques dealer - Bedfordshire based S&S Timms Antiques. This easy-to-use App is now available to download free-of-charge on your Apple device from the App store. S&S Timms Antiques are showing this new App on their stand (number D24) at the Olympia International Art & Antiques Fair, which opens in London on Thursday 9 June until Sunday 19 June 2011.
“I believe we may be the first antique furniture dealers in the world to have their own App,” said Robbie Timms of S&S Timms Antiques. “We are very excited, because it should revolutionise the speed with which our clients, collectors, interior designers and those who like to surround themselves with fine furniture with history can access what we have to offer any time, wherever they are in the world. They can carry our stock in their pocket! “
Once downloaded, the S&S Timms Antiques’ App offers four categories on the home page –
• STOCK
Either type in the kind of antique, designer name or stock number into the Search Bar, or scroll through the glossary of categories represented by monochrome silhouettes of sofas, occasional tables, mirrors cupboards and linen presses, children’s furniture etc. Once you have found the item or items of interest, you can bring up a larger photograph and then get all the details, including price and add to your favourites, if you wish, for future referral.
• ARCHIVE
An opportunity to view what stock S&S Timms has held in the past and sold, particularly useful for S&S Timms Antiques’ clients and interior designers, who may be shopping for other items to go with their recent purchases or even to show insurance brokers.
• FAIRS
See at a glance the schedule of fairs at which S&S Timms are exhibiting and when. Just a touch on the screen will take you through to the relevant fair website and in some cases you can even click to receive a complimentary e-ticket to the event.
• DETAILS
The last category gives some background on S&S Timms Antiques and contact details. You can even just touch the screen to telephone or email S&S Timms Antiques.
At all times, there are opportunities to click straight through to telephone or email S&S Timms Antiques, to ask further questions or buy. This new App will be rolled out for Blackberry, Android etc in the future.
