News-Antique.com - Apr 21,2011 - We love to drive to garage sales,small town festivals, highway sales, church fundraisers, estate sales and flea markets in GA, FL, SC, NC and TN. Sometimes we buy vintage goodies to post on our etsy site, sometimes we treat ourselves to home decor circa 1930-1970 and always we search for the junk that makes our hearts flutter - sometimes for sale and sometimes just to have a great photo as a souvenir.
Each trip is an adventure and a another chance to fill up Jeri's barn with everything from furniture to paintings to kitchen decor to toys. Everything is retro, funky or kitcshy. We love nothing better than to give each other the giggles, unless it is finding the world's most perfect chocolate chip cookie.
We love parades and local festivals whether they celebrate shrimp or peanuts or onions. These tiny towns offer great food, friendly folks and a chance to get off of the interstate which is where the real holy grail of vintage is hidden in barns and sheds and attics. We hope our blog will give you a chance to laugh along with us.
