John Moran Auctioneers Announces March 8th Sale of Antiques and Decorative Arts Pasadena, CA-- John Moran Auctioneers is pleased to announce their March 8, 2011 Antiques Sale, featuring Continental furniture and decorative arts, silver, Native American artifacts, Persian rugs and
modern items include two circa 1961 'PK91' Danish modern chromed steel and black leather folding stools by Poul Kjaerholm for E. Kold Christiansen (estimate: $2000 – 3000) and a Philip and Kelvin LaVerne (estimate: $3000 – 5000) bronze coffee table.
The selection of Persian rugs is lead by a 15 by 27-feet Khorasan rug, offered with an estimate of $5000 – 7000.
The sale’s fine art selection spans a wide range of 19th and 20th century American and European artists, all carrying very attractive estimates. Highlights include works by French painters Bernard Lorjou (1908 – 1986), Hughes Claude Pissarro (b. 1935), and British painters Roland Wheelwright (1870 – 1955), John Leighton (1822 – 1912) and Edwin Hayes (1820 -1904).
