News-Antique.com - Jan 12,2011 - Boocoo.com the online auction site launched in June of 2010 is forging ahead with a referral program that should be very attractive to sellers directly, and thus enticing to buyers if the program accomplishes it’s goals.
There’s no reason it shouldn’t as the incentive has teeth. A link to the referral program explains it this way:
Refer a Friend
We're working to build boocoo into a great place for people all over the country to buy and sell, but we need your help! More and more people visit boocoo auctions each day and we need to make sure that they can find a wide variety of high quality products to choose from.
To help us achieve that goal we are offering a special deal to any boocoo members who refers another seller to the site. Refer up to 12 friends, and for each friend who registers and posts at least one item for sale both you and your friend will receive free final value fees for one month.
The ability to refer a friend through boocoo.com is coming in the future, but we didn't want to wait until that functionality is complete to make this special offer. For now if you want to refer a friend just send us an email at email@example.com to let us know who you are referring (name and email address).
In it’s latest report to partners, boocoo has stated that it has had five months of continuous expansion with an impressive rate of growth in every metric for the month of November. After 150 days of operation boocoo auctions continues to build inventory, registered users, bids, and transactions at a remarkable rate. Here are some highlights from this month's statistics.
Inventory: For the fifth straight month since launch "active listings" grew substantially – November brought 128% of October’s number of active listings.
Transactions: Another area of even greater percentage increase was "transactions", coming in at 138% in November over October.
Registered Users: In the all important category of "registered users" November is the fifth straight month of growth, bringing boocoo auctions to almost 15,000 registered users nationwide.
Bids: The number of bids placed grew a whopping 264% from October to November. This measurement is especially encouraging because it indicates a growing level of trust from buyers/potential buyers.
After five full months of operations, we can confidently state that the business is growing at a steady and substantial pace. As we move into 2011 that pace will only continue as more users register, the number of media partners grows, and we continue to add new features and enhancements to the site.
One of the most exciting new features is the addition of "Two Hour Charity Auctions". As you know we tested the "Two Hour Auction" concept to great reviews in July. We recently began the next phase featuring two hour charity auctions benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs. All transaction fees are waived, so that proceeds in their entirety are donated to the Clubs. It is
