Most of our French Bulldogs are surrendered by their owners who can no longer keep them. No matter the reason we do not question or criticize the motive of the person giving up their french bulldog. We just want to help. Help save a life and re home a french bulldog into a new loving forever home.
Life just gets in the way sometimes and many people find they have no choice but to surrender their french bulldog. We are here to help.
When you feel you are ready and need to surrender you french bulldog you can contact us by phone, or email. You do not need to be embarrassed and please do not hesitate to make that first contact. Surrendering your french bulldog to a french bulldog rescue is a very difficult decision to make and we have the greatest respect for you for making the decision. We will not pressure you to keep or to give up your french bulldog. We just want to answer any questions you may have and help you make an informed decision. Only when you are ready will we take custody of your french bulldog.
RescueAFrenchBulldog will need to know a few things including the following: Why you are surrendering your dog? List of vaccinations and heart worm preventative. Is the dog spayed or neutered? Has the dog ever bitten anyone? Does it have any health issues? If so, is it currently being treated for them?
Once your french bulldog has been accepted into RescueAFrenchBulldog, we will determine the best adoptive home for him/her by placing the dog on the available page of rescueafrenchbulldog.com After accepting several applications we will review them and select the best forever home for the french bulldog.
After being taken into the care of RescueAFrenchBulldog, your french Bulldog will spend a minimum of one week with us in an evaluation period. During this time he/she will be taken to the veterinarian for a complete physical and additional shots if needed. After the evaluation he/she will become available for adoption or begin training or rehabilitation or training or veterinary care.
If you decide you want your french bulldog back, you may if he has not already been adopted out. It will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors of Rescueafrenchbulldog. You will need to repay any out of pocket expenses for veterinary bills or other costs he has incurred while in the care of RescueAFrenchBulldog.
Caring for French Bulldogs, or any dog, for any amount of time is expensive and costs can add up significantly. We, at RescueAFrenchBulldog will take in any French Bulldog regardless of the cost associated with that Frenchie. We do ask that you please make a voluntary donation in any amount you can afford.
