It has been a busy season for us, starting with George's "great fall" in May, and ending with a house/store full of family with kids & grandkids in town in August. Music without electricity or batteries!! Green entertainment! How cool!
We just acquired some really cool stuff! Back in the day, way before electronic media, music could be played at home without electricity or batteries! Bahoukas has several examples of these precious gems in the store. From the 1913 Edison Amberola which plays 4 minute cylinders, to the 1920's Victrola "Talking Machine", to the fully portable "picnic ready" Phonola from the 1940's. Come see!!! Come buy!! Only in Bahoukaville!!!
BAHOUKAS plays classic vinyl!! Not only is it possible for us to play music without electricity, as described above, but we also have the classic "modern electric phonograph" that was popular from the 1940's till the 1980's. Combine that with a "wall of vinyl" in the back of the
store & you get great music to shop to! Come in & listen to our classics! Feel free to sort thru the records in the store and pick out what you would like to hear! We would be pleased to play them for you! While you are here, pick up a record player and some records to play at home! Rock on baby!!!
Havre de Grace Main Street brings more "things to do" in Havre de Grace! We know you love our quaint little city by the bay! Strolling the streets is like a trip thru time! Now your visit can be even more fun! Havre de Grace Main Street Inc has put together some great activities to help you get more fun out of hitting the streets! On Saturday August 28th they are sponsoring the first annual Antiques Crawl. The 400 block of Franklin Street (at the corner of Bahoukaville) will be closed all day to vehicular traffic & filled with Antique vendors, and vistors are encouraged to stroll the other stores in town. Vendor spots are still available as I write this so call now (410-939-1811) if you are interested in participating in that way! Otherwise just show up on August 28th to shop! Also, starting September 3rd, they
will be conducting their famous "Havre de Grace Ghost tours" which will run till Halloween. To top it off, they also have brand new "Historical Walking Tours" which begin on September 4th, and will feature guides in period costume! Way cool! Lots of fun to be
