CHAIRS
THE SAN FRANCISCO FALL ANTIQUES SHOW announces a roster of outstanding Chairs for 2010. The legendary Preview Party, to be held on Wednesday, October 27, will be hosted by San Francisco-born fashion designer Derek Lam, along with Show Chair Michele Goss. Other Committee Chairs include Susan Feldman, Peter Getty, Jenna and Bryan Hunt, Letitia and Michael Kim, Laura King Pfaff, Alison Gelb Pincus, John Traina, and Suzanne Tucker.
ANNUAL THEME
Chinoiserie: Rococo to Eco is the evocative theme of the Show, as part of the exciting citywide Shanghai Celebration (see www.shanghaicelebration.com). Visitors will be welcomed in a fanciful, stunning, 20-foot tall pagoda entrance, created by renowned architect Andrew Skurman. The special Exhibition, guest curated by Maria Santangelo of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and historian Holland Lynch, will showcase exquisite furnishings, porcelain, lacquer, and fine arts from private and museum collections, presenting imaginative Western interpretations of Chinese artistic influences.
