News-Antique.com - Jun 25,2010 - Members of The SeatWeavers' Guild, Inc. will exhibit chair caning and other types of chair seat weaving techniques during the 3rd Annual Gathering and Meeting of The SeatWeavers' Guild, Inc., (TSWG) on July 30-August 1, 2010 at our new venue, the museum at Tillers International in Scotts, Michigan.
The public is invited to the museum to view these rarely exhibited examples of chair caning, splint seat weaving, Danish cord, paper fibre rush, seagrass, corn shuck, cattail leaf rush, wicker and more.
Tillers International strives toward sustainable
agriculture and international development by studying, preserving and teaching historical and adapted small farm skills such as animal-powered farming, blacksmithing and woodworking.
