The outstanding sporting rifles are lead by a royal pair of exquisite custom built and engraved, gold inlaid Winchester pre-64 model 70 bolt action rifles owned by prince Abdorreza Pahlavi imperial highness of Iran $45,000 – 90,000. A rare collector’s set of twenty Browning shotguns and rifles that feature the same collector number (00109) prefix in the serial number will grab bidding interest with a pre-sale estimate of $25,000 - 35,000.
An excellent array of European percussion and flintlocks include an exhibition grade cased pair of German breach loading target pistols. These exhibition-grade pistols are gold inlaid and relief engraved with European walnut forearms and fluted grips. The fluted barrels are blued with relief-engraved floral and cross-hatched designs on a stippled background. Intricate, gold, filigree designs are inlaid on the muzzles, breeches, sides and tops of the barrels. This magnificent set of exhibition grade pistols represents the finest turn-of-the-century German gun-making and engraving skill. This is a one-of-a-kind set of pistols that displays unmatched craftsmanship and detail is estimated at $35,000 - 65,000. Other fine craftsmanship can be found in a magnificent cased percussion pistol by Gastinne Renette of Paris estimated at $16,000 – 25,000 and a pair of Daniel Ross Scottish all steel flintlock pistols estimated at $10,000 – 15,000.
