FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
From 1959 until 1998, the Famous Tobacco Barn Antiques Show, sponsored by St. Thomas’ Episcopal Parish, was one of the premier antiques shows on the East Coast, which attracted more than 16,000 people. When the last tobacco warehouse in the area closed, the Famous Tobacco Barn Antique Show also ended.
But now, the St. Thomas’ Episcopal Parish Antique Show returns in 2010 in a new format, at a new venue. The Antique Show will be held from Friday, March 26th through Sunday, March 28th, at the beautiful historical Oxon Hill Manor. The Manor and its beautifully landscaped grounds provide an enchanting setting for the show and the diverse group of quality antique dealers that will be featuring: Formal/Country Furniture, Garden Furniture, Art, Textiles, Early Glass, Silver and Jewelry, among other treasures for sale.
Proceeds from the Antique Show will benefit St. Thomas’ Parish and local Prince George’s County organizations.
This year the show features "Peenstra Antiques Appraisals".
