News-Antique.com - Jan 17,2010 - Since decades a strong collection of mostly Chinese antiquities has been assembled by a European collector. We are proud to announce that we have been appointed solicitors for this magnificent collection.
The estate flaunts with rare Neolithic excavation objects, impressive jades and tools from the Shang- and Zhou period, pottery from Qin up to Tang, outstanding Song celadon plates, black and white Yuan-jars, all in museum quality.
The impressing chinaware collection has several Song-Dynasty top-quality vases and plates, many fine Ming Dynasty objects, including pieces given as presents to Emperors Qian Long to commemorate his 60th birthday – it’s all in this collection.
Though the majority of objects are scarce flatware and vases, there are many other gems like Ming lacquer plates, large crystal rock snuff bottles with delicate inside paintings by Ye Zhongsan or overlaid Peking glass objects and cloisonné figures or vases.
What it make so unique is the care the collection has been put together in all those years, striving for typical masterpieces on the one hand but paying attention to unique pieces as well. We can find a line of 7 Ming Dynasty plates in different states of completion. The painter of those plates was striving for an utmost floral design and we can see how he improved, just to give one axample.
Rare and special, those objects would be gems for advanced collectors, investors, museums or representational offices.
The objects can be inspected and bought in Austria.
