San Andreas, CA - Buck Kelly Drugstore Estate Sale This November 20th and 21st 2009 EstateSalesHelp.com will be liquidating the home of Buck Kelly, famous drugstore owner and renowned community businessman.
Going up to the next floor you’ll find a bedroom to your right packed with vintage clothes and sewing, patterns and buttons, fun women’s things and a bed full of fabric and everything old a girl could pine for. Reverse your step and go into the second bedroom staged with all sorts of early Christmas and holiday, travel items and more vintage clothes, aprons, hats and boxes, alligator and snake shoes and purses, belts and ties. The furniture lends itself towards Heywood Wakefield or 50s modern and seems all to be in decent to good condition.
Slip past the dead stock 30s bathroom and go up the narrow stairs to a child’s room full of Barbie, Kens and little monkey dolls, bears and all sorts of dollhouse furniture and clothing, potty chairs and cribs from long ago and vintage clothes for both boys and girls. Along the way you’ll pass a closet just loaded with old books and magazines so watch your fanny should you decide to pull over and dig through the old paper while others pass you by to grab boxes of kiddy things all from years gone by.
Back down the steps through the hallway takes you to the damp and darkened basement and garage and we ask that you enter at your own risk, with sturdy shoes and flashlights, gloves and a good strong back. Bring boxes to fill with items you will have to dig for, bring plenty of patience and a good strong diligent attitude to help you fight for your finds along side every other archeologist that makes it up to this sale.
The basement holds the wonderful old store clock, some signs, soda counter, folding military cot, lots of 50s upholstered furniture, trunks, games, old small kitchenware and appliances, dirty and dusty stuff as well as shelves of old paperback novels and scary books with either evil damsels in distress or lovers gracing the covers. The garage I cannot even tell you what it holds, although it is absolutely NOTHING to compare to the sheds outside, nor the huge unattached old garage and yard full of ephemera and whatever else we had to peel out of the house to make it shopper friendly.
