Prominent East Coast dealers will offer for purchase fine 18th, 19th and 20th century antiques and arts…. ceramics, textiles, pewter, porcelain, silver, estate jewelry, glass, furniture, decorative and fine arts, and more….a marvelous selection for both seasoned and new collectors.
Highlighting the show is a Loan Exhibit: “Dinner Is Served: 200 Years of Entertaining at the White House,” featuring Presidential China from the renowned collection of Mr. & Mrs. Set Charles Momjian.
“Dinner Is Served” exhibits more than 40 historic items, including a vibrant Abraham Lincoln china service (of special interest in this year of the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth); the very beautiful china of Ulysses S. Grant and James Polk; the Victorian, naturalistic Rutherford Hayes service; symbolic serving pieces from the times of Benjamin Harrison, Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson. There is also china from Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy. Complementing the presidential china are crystal stemware, silver pieces, official invitations and a variety of menus.
Show Hours are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 21 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 22.
Admission is $8 and includes two-day unlimited re-entry to the Antiques Show.

The Preview Party takes place on Friday evening, November 20, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Tickets are $60 and include two-day admission/unlimited re-entry to the Show.

An Illustrated Lecture titled “Entertaining at the White House” will be presented by Gail Momjian on Saturday, November 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Davids Golf Club (adjacent to VFMAC). Tickets are $35 and include continental breakfast and two-day Show admission, with unlimited re-entry.
Ms Momjian will dish up lively tales of two centuries of dining and entertaining styles in our nation’s most famous house. The daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Set Charles Momjian, she is the founder of ArtSource Appraisal & Consulting and served as curator for the MLAS loan exhibit. With examples from her family’s famous collection, photographs and anecdotes, Gail Momjian will discuss how 18th, 19th and 20th century decorative trends are reflected in the White House china…where politics and personalities were also on the menu!
