News-Antique.com - Oct 12,2009 - I did it. I finally did it. All 316 paperweights are now listed on my website, http://www.tias.com/stores/agcs. When my late parents, Lynn & Evelyn Steele, left behind over 500 paperweights, I wasn’t sure WHAT we’d do with them. Many were given to family and friends as gifts, and it was decided to try selling the rest online. Well, do you have any idea what it takes to inventory, research, photograph and list 316 paperweights? Time, that’s what it takes. Lots and lots and lots of time. But it’s done, I’ve finished. My 316th paperweight, PW482, a beauty by John Deacons, is now online. A word of advice to collectors – if you plan to leave your collection to your estate, do start now (if you haven’t already) to keep an inventory of what you’ve bought, where you bought it and for how much, and any information you might have about the piece – the maker, the name, the serial number, etc. Fortunately for me, my parents did do this. Now, about those other 300 pieces of art glass, antique glass, limited edition plates, etc., etc., etc……..
