Her collection was appraised on PBS TV, and a year later the woman decides to consign the collection as part of a Pop Culture auction including her Norman Rockwell designed salesman sample cereal box.
A woman came into a taping of the hit PBS TV program “Antiques Roadshow” with a collection of Cereal Box Store Displays her father had used as a salesman for Kellogg’s in the late 1940s and 1950s and appraiser Gary Sohmers of www.allcollectors.com found a great story to share.. She found them being used as insulation in a old barn, and had no idea that there was any demand or value for these advertising oddities. Included in the collection were oversized boxes, dog food boxes, a box of TV star Guy Madison as “Wild Bill Hitchcock” and one by the famed artist Norman Rockwell.
