Rare original Disney Storyboard Animation drawings and original Animation cels will be auctioned Oct. 4 2009 along with 700 lots of Pop Culture at Phil Weiss Auctions in Oceanside NY.
Disney art director Ralph Kent left a large legacy after his recent passing and included these rare original animation drawings and animation art last seen in 1981 on the Walt Disney Information Channel only at Walt Disney World Resorts now able to be seen on YouTube.

70+ Red line, blue line and pencil Close Up Drawings of Jiminy Cricket in separated lots including consecutive images on 3 hole animators paper, storyboard like sequence shows Jiminy talking to the viewer from "Channel 5 Final Scene Close-Up JP368807," each sheet is 13.5" x 16.5" and individually numbered "02" to "70"including several A drawings too in near mint condition, from the personal collection of the late Disney Art Director, Ralph Kent.
Also of Disney interest in the auction is the original Art for the popular Disneyland Map given to attendees in the 1950s and 1960s, and marked with "Walt Disney Productions" paper label. Oil and pastel on a 22" x 40" art board with fine detailing, by artist Sam McKim known as "the Cartographer of Disneyland." Issued originally in 1958, this version is known as the 1958b version of the Map because of modifications such as no TWA logo on the Moon Rocket. This was recovered in a storage space auction in California. Other Disney items include original animation cels, and drawings featuring a selection of rare Jiminy Cricket production drawings.
