News-Antique.com - Sep 21,2009 - After a successful first airing, The Luxury Antiques Weekend at Kilhey Court is returning to the four star Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel, Standish in Lancashire from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 January 2010. This boutique-style antiques fair was hailed as a great success on its debut visit last year and next January’s show promises to be every bit as appealing.
From eye-catching show-stoppers in jewellery, paintings, silver or sculpture to useful furniture and oriental carpets, around 20 exhibitors offer a broad range of fine quality and affordable pieces for inspired collectors. The fair is a great day out, both for interior designers, private customers seeking unique and unusual furnishings or simply just to browse and chat to the dealers.
For the three days of the fair The Lakeside Suite is transformed into a dazzling antiques emporium and both fine quality and decorative pieces can be found from well-known dealers such as Garret & Hurst Sculpture and M & N Oriental Rugs, quirky accessories from Melody Antiques or maybe a piece of jewellery from Lancashire jeweller Charles Howell.
The Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel & Spa is a Victorian style country house hotel, very well positioned to serve the North West of England being minutes away from the M6 and under an hour from Liverpool and Manchester. It has superb leisure club facilities and makes the ideal weekend break or simply a day out.
The benefiting charity for the fair is Derian House Children’s Hospice (www.derianhouse.co.uk), which gives specialist care and support for seriously and terminally ill children across the north-west of England.
