Highlights of the sale include:
The top lot of the day is lot 1174, a carved rhinoceros horn libation cup with a floral motif accented by a mythical Chi tiger, which emerges from the vegetation and climbs up toward the brim. Bidding begins at CNY 180,000.
Lot 1334 is a stone seal carved from Tianhuang, a valuable type of stone highly prized for making seals, it is decorated with a design of the three friends of winter: prunus, pine and bamboo, so named because they are evergreen. Bidding for this item also opens at CNY 180,000.
Also of note is lot 1270, a rosewood chess table with ruyi patterns. This three-piece set, including the chess table and two chairs, opens at CNY 150,000.
