A sad story...
Being in the antiques and collectables business has made me a little sad. As much as I love our business, I have grown sad to realize that all my life up until now I have missed a very satisfying experience: collecting. I also failed to introduce it to my children. Many of our visitors to the store come in with a mission – to find that special addition to their collection - to find that missing piece. Some
of them have collected since childhood, others a more recent passion. One thing they all have in common - an ongoing passion that they can pursue in all their travels. George was more fortunate - he has collections - albeit too many perhaps... Since he was a child he collected Cinderella (his collection will be on display in our home during the Havre de Grace Candlelight tour in December of this year). He also collects PEZ and old toys. Now he tells me he is starting a character glass collection- good grief! God love him!! All kidding aside, it is a joy to see and experience and the hunt for more is infectious! What do you collect? Dolls!!
It is not too early to plan for Christmas! We have a new collection of Dolls of all kinds in Bahoukas Antique Mall. We have a varied selection of Effanbee, Madame Alexander and other dolls. We also have a whole load of Barbies in Bahoukas Collectables all in original boxes! Come see! Come buy!!
Wall of Trucks!!
As part of our transitions... the large collection of trucks formerly in Bahoukas Collectables is now in the Antique Mall! Please don't forget to look up while you are in the store! With our sizable collections, we need to use vertical space and have a beautiful grouping of trucks for sale: Hess Trucks, Nylint advertising trucks from Alka-Seltzer to Vlasic, and Ertl trucks as well! Come see! Come buy!
Elvis is in the building!!
Our neighbor "The American Legion Post 47" is having a 50's Night featuring ELVIS this Saturday September 19th. The doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8:30pm, then there is dancing from 10 pm - midnight. Tickets are sold in advance and are only $15 per person which gives you not only the show, but also dinner and draft beer! There is a cash bar as well. For information call 410-939-0234.
