West Coast—Fall Meeting 2009

feature salmon, clams, and oysters with all the trimmings. No cost to you.

Friday’s events: On Friday folks are welcome to arrive at the King household after noon (12:00)
to look at iron & an extensive kerosene lamp collection or just to hang out until dinner.
At the Noren’s home, you can come earlier to visit, but 6:00 P.M. dinner prepared all in cast iron cookware: brisket, chicken, scalloped potatoes, rolls, pineapple upsidedown cake. Cost $20. They live next door to the Kings who are also opening their home for tour of their collections.

The Palmyra area is just minutes from Augusta, Bangor, Brewer and Moosehead Lake and about
1 ½ hrs. from Portland or 2 ½ hours from the beautiful coastline in Bar Harbor. Antique
stores are as close as the host’s home, Ironbelly Antiques, plus 5 big antique malls and
several small antique stores within a 35 mile radius. As Diane says, “Bring your appetite
for old fashioned Maine cooking as well as for Cast Iron Cookware.”
