News-Antique.com - Aug 27,2009 - New York, New York – Aulden Cellars-Sotheby’s New York will begin its fall wine season with a two-day sale of Finest and Rarest Wines featuring Wines from an Important Private Cellar on September 25 and 26, 2009. The sale will offer collectors over 2,200 lots estimated at $2.3/3.3 million and will be highlighted by 923 lots from an Important Private Cellar estimated to bring a more than $1.4 million. Once again, Sotheby’s will offer clients online bidding combined with a live audio and video feed, which debuted in June and was met with enthusiasm among collectors from around the world. • 19 vintages of Musigny from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé from 1969 to 2005, including cases of 1990, est. $4,500-7,000, and 1996, est. $4,500-6,500

• one 6-Liter Methusaleh of 1993 Romanée-Conti, est. $18,000-25,000

The sale will also feature a large selection of wines from the talented Dominique Lafon, including wines from Héritiers du Comte Lafon and Domaine des Comtes Lafon comprising more than 90 cases of Mâcon from Héritiers du Comte Lafon, including 25 cases of 2006 Mâcon-Chardonnay Clos de la Crochette estimated at $150/200 per case.
