Highlights of the sale include:
The top lot of the day, lot 1079, is a painting of the Monhegan Island Harbor by Paul Bernard King (American, 1867-1947). Housed in a fine antique carved and decorated wood frame, the minimum bid for this work is $8,000.
An impressive nine lots, numbers 1062-5, 1234-6 and 1359-60, feature watercolors and drawings by Joyce Williams. Minimum bids range from $100 to $750 on these lots.
The top lot of day two is lot 2143 a George Inness (American, 1825-1894) painting of "The Villa Borghese, Rome, 1871." This large oil on canvas, from the collection of famous architect Stanford White, is accompanied by what is presumed to be its original frame. Bidding for this lot begins at $75,000.
Lot 2225, is a painting by Leon Joseph Florentin Bonnat (French, 1833-1922) entitled “Concert,” after a work by the Dutch painter Jacob Van Loo (1614-1670). Bidding opens at $50,000.
Lot 3132, the top lot of day three, is a Rare Abraham Lincoln Political Banner, circa 1864, from the Jesse K. Dubois family. It reads “The Preserver of our Country 1861." Bidding begins at $25,000.
Day three features a number of lots from the Marie & Don Stone Collection of Lawrence Irvine Carved Fish, the largest collection of Lawrence Irvine carvings ever to be sold at auction. Lots 3158-3183 all feature Lawrence Irvine carvings with minimum bids ranging between $500 and $14,000.
Lot 4117 is a J.H. Belter Rococo Rosewood Marble Top Center Table. Made around 1860 this table has an elaborately carved base and a minimum bid of $7,500.
Also offered is a Rare Gustav Stickley Tall Case Hall Clock, lot 4141. Produced in the first quarter of the twentieth century, bidding for this piece begins at $7,500.
