News-Antique.com - Aug 10,2009 - PITTSBURGH – Ray Haradin’s Toys of Yesteryear has announced the availability of the new 76-page fixed-price sales catalog featuring Part II of the esteemed John Graham Collection of Britains and other antique and vintage miniature figures.
The full-color catalog features an extensive selection of 18th- and 19th-century military and civilian figures by the premier manufacturer W. Britain & Sons and several other companies whose miniature figures, toys and boxed sets are in great demand with today’s collectors. Spanish and French productions are included in the John Graham Collection, including a number of rarities by Mignot.
“John Graham began collecting toy soldiers when he was nine years old,” said Toys of Yesteryear’s owner, Ray Haradin. “He was fascinated by military history, and as his interest grew, so did his remarkable collection. Handling the sale of Mr. Graham’s collection has been an honor and a very exciting experience for our staff, as each one of us is a collector of Britains, as well.”
The John Graham Collection is so vast, a three-part plan was organized for its dispersal. Part one was sold through Haradin’s Old Toy Soldier Auctions last May. The second part is offered for fixed-price purchase through the newly released catalog. The third and final portion will be the centerpiece of Old Toy Soldier Auctions’ May 2010 sale.
The soft-cover catalog may be purchased for $25 postpaid ($35 internationally). The electronic version of the catalog may be viewed in its entirety and/or downloaded online at www.raytoys.com.
