Antiques Roadshow of the Web? Some have been calling it the antiques roadshow of the web. Collectibles Corner TV is quickly gaining popularity among collectors.
News-Antique.com - Jul 11,2009 - In this dot com world it was only a matter of time before the internet started to replace TV. Think about it - how long are you on your computer each day?
There have been web TV shows creeping up in all genres. Perhaps most notably Andrew Lock's "Help My Business Sucks," the web TV show for entrepreneurs.
But recently it's broken into other niches. CollectiblesCornerTV.com, the free weekly web tv show for 'savvy collectors' airs every tuesday morning, and then it stays on the site forever. In a similar format to antiques roadshow (no commercials, just a sponsor or two), this show is quickly becoming known as the Roadshow of the web.
Host, Tammy Kahn Fennell, mixes a bit of roadshow excitement, with a recurring "Tammy's Appraisals" section, with expert interviews, history of collectibles, and a segment where viewers submit their questions.
Recently the show has become even more interactive with the launch of the free forum where collectors, sellers and experts can all get together to talk about the world of collectibles.
Recent interviews include Phil Davies of Tias.com, Aladar Nesser of Discovery Channel's "Treasure Quest," and Philip Weiss, noted appraiser and auctioneer. Up coming episodes will feature very interesting segments, including civil war militaria, appraiser Rayne Haines, and other interesting characters!
