The Great Lehigh Valley Train Meet is being held at Merchants Sqaure Mall 1901 S 12th st Allentown, Pa 18103.The Next show is May 16th and 17th 2009. The Great Lehigh Valley Train meet is a unique show and is still growing and improving each year. The Great Lehigh Valley Train Meet has 2 shows in one location and one weekend. Each day of the show is dedicated to different scales and items. The Saturday show is dedicated to the scale modeler specialing in HO,N ,Brass, On30, and Z gauge, With this being the only show in the area dedicated to the scale modeler and operater. It has been very well recieved and continues to grow and attract vendors and attendees from 5 states . Even though this is a smaller venue. It is able to provide 10,000 sqaure feet dedicated with 175 tables of Scale items for the collector and modeler. On Saturday you are able to find Model trains in Z to Ho gauge to be the highlights. With custom cars,Brass, New and old ,used vintage and todays newest releases, There are items in vintage Pennline,AHM,Tyco,Gilbert and lionel in Ho scale. Builings,Scenery,Repair parts, New Kato,Bachman Atlas,Dcc , N ,On30 and Z gauge,Railroadannia and more can also be found on saturday. Then the Sunday show brings in new items and vendors with 10,000 sqaure feet and 175 tables dedicated to S,O-27,O ,G and Standard gauge . On Sunday you can find Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Mth, Williams Atlas, New and old, With repair parts. Railroadannia and more. This provides the most items over a 2 day period and enables the attendee to have the most choices possable in their interest. Cant make the day dedicated to your interest dont feel disapointed. While the show is specialized each day you can always find a little of everything both days. While it is best to provide the most choices in your scale. It is recomended to attend the day that applies to your interest. But you can always find New and old trains in Z to G gauge each day. Plus both days will always have repair parts, Railroannia,Books, Thomas train and a little of everything related to Model railroading and collecting each day. There are operating layouts and Dcc demonstrations also. While attend the Train meet dont forget to check out Merchants sqaure Mall. There is over 100,000 square feet of Antique and Specialty Shops, A great Bid board auction and restraunt on site. This make this a great event for the day. With lots to see.The show hours are Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm. There is plenty of free parking. Merchants sqaure is located less than one mile from I-78 and easily accessable form Turnpike and I-78.
