News-Antique.com - Mar 22,2009 - The sale will be held at an exciting new venue, the Marriott Peabody just off route 128 at exit #28, in Peabody, Mass. We are starting our 17th year of doing all-cane auctions and have gathered a wonderful array of antique canes. We will be offering 197 lots of carefully selected high quality pieces, with many rare and uncommon examples. Among the items to be presented will be a continuation of pieces from the late Philip Hampton’s fine collection, examples from the Stephen Rice Collection of Illinois, fine pieces from the collection of Lowell Fulendider of Georgia, as well as items from the collection of Dr. Michael Roth of California. Additionally, there are some canes that were recently sold in 2008 but unfortunately were not paid for.
