More than 300 lots of fine antique Italian, Spanish and British Colonial furniture including Ivory inlaid pieces and a monumental French church oratory, decorative arts including Russian icons, sanctuary lamps, a selection of Giltwood sunburst mirrors and several sterling silver flatware services will cross the auction block during this live auction webcast. Thirteen large, 18th Century Peruvian Spanish Colonial Paintings and a large collection of 18th – to – 20th Century religious figures are also included in this auction. • Lot 146: Large Antique Religious Church Confessional: Belgium church oratory, c. 1890, paneled oak having incised and applied decorative carving, a 24" cross at the top center of the split pediment, below are two 6" winged cherubs depicted in relief, at the lower center a paneled door topped by two small carved screen doors opening to an area for the priest, the interior with sliding grills at either side allowing communication with the two penitent compartments located at both ends of the booth, 140"h, 111"w, 41"d, note: dismantles for transport*
• Lot 164: Large Antique Religious Oil Painting, Cuzco School: Spectacular oil on canvas of the Madonna and child, from the Cuzco school, late 17th c. , a pair of brightly painted cherubs place a heavily gilded crown on the head of Mary, she holds a candle in her right hand and a basket with two doves, in her left is the Christ child holding the celestial orb and his mothers standard, the child is dressed in contemporary costume, a pair of musical angels flank her sides while attendant angels support her base, the heavily gilded gown and tunic are covered with brightly painted flowers, areas of cracklure only add to the authentic quality of this sumptuous painting, a gilded modern frame appropriate to the style of painting, hand sewn panels, edge lined, sight: 66. 75"h, 50. 5"w, overall: 74. 5"h, 57. 75"w, 3"d, 33lbs – One of thirteen fine Peruvian Spanish Colonial Paintings in this auction.
• Lot 166: Large Antique Religious Oil Painting, Cuzco School: Unframed oil on canvas, Cuzco school, mid 18th c. , the Madonna and child are framed by the sacred heart which is upheld by attendant saint Dominic and saint Francis, the seated Madonna and child offer the rosary to the attendant saints, surrounded by cherubs offering flowers and incense, the whole surmounted by the trinity in the form of a seated Christ, dove, and seated god, the overall canvas is faded and worn, the overall effect is one of charm
