Antiques, Vintage & Collectibles Online Sellers Association Seeking Steering Committee Members AVCOSA, a recently formed organization to represent the interests of online sellers of antiques, vintage and collectibles, is now seeking steering committee members to plan the direction of the group.
News-Antique.com - Jan 26,2009 - January 16, 2008 – (Columbus, Ohio) The Antiques, Vintage & Collectibles Online Sellers Association today announced that it is currently seeking members to serve on the organization’s steering committee. Steering committee members will provide opinion, information and insight to AVCOSA’s Board of Directors as they plan for the development of the group.
“Since our objective is to represent and advocate the interests of antiques, vintage and collectibles online sellers, it is necessary to have as much input from those sellers as we can,” said Judith Morris, vice president of AVCOSA.
“There is a lot of dissatisfaction in our community regarding our treatment by some selling venues so our inception is timely. Many experienced sellers can help us shape our agenda so that we are effective. As a vertical (antiques, vintage and collectibles), we are quite formidable online so this association has great potential to get real, tangible results.”
AVCOSA, a recently formed organization, works to advance the interests of antiques, vintage and collectibles dealers online and to provide them with a centralized source of news, resources and information. Additionally, the association promotes professionalism among its members through education and technology and provides advocacy services directed to online selling venues to assure that the group's interests are adequately represented.
