Indigo Rose New Collection Launch Indigo Rose is a new collection launched by East. It is a very British collection and evokes memories of the seaside and spring days.
News-Antique.com - Jan 19,2009 - Indigo Rose is a collection which heralds the arrival of Spring to the British shores. It launches a range of more casual occassionwear which enables you to plan for future events with a new set of clothes to wear.
The collection has been inspired by the seaside. However don’t think kiss me quick hats, it is more Brighton beach than Blackpool with a nod towards rural beaches, sand dunes and beach huts. It is also a collection that would look great in one of the fabulous tea rooms you find in seaside towns or even in the more provincial university towns of Oxford and Cambridge.
The tones are mainly blue and white with a peony pink added to give the outfits a shot of colour to drag them out of the bland. There are floral prints which are strongly influences by the toile de jouy style but for those of use less keen on flowery styles there are spots and stripes which keep the beachy theme.
The styles are pretty and feminine – reinforcing the Britishness of the collection – the ribbon and lace details evoke memories of high tea, cucumber sandwiches and scones with cream and jam.
