We are presenting a fabulous 17th Century pique cane in unusual form, a French 18th century gold pique with shagreen, a great spitting Chinese man, a Japanese ivory shibayama of wisteria, a fine whale ivory knot on whalebone, a lovely lapis cane with vermeil cage, an outstanding large ivory English bulldog, a very nice ivory lion and elephant, a Japanese 1000 faces in unique form, a wonderful ivory blackamoor prince, a great silver Holuska watch cane, an historic 1839 Whig relic cane, a beautiful Tiffany silver, a stunning Russian silver and enamel, a fine painted KPM Berlin porcelain cane, and a remarkable Russian wood cane with silver string inlay.
These pieces would all rate as higher-end examples and the sale promises to be an exciting one. Each cane will be sold unreserved. They will have estimates based on 15 years of cane auction experience and results, and they will also have fair and sensible starting prices, long a Tradewinds hallmark.
