Fans will get to meet celebrities from TV, Movies, Sci-Fi, Science, including NASA astronauts at the New England Fan Experience at the Hyatt in Cambridge MA November 21-23.
The New England Fan Experience comes to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge, MA, Friday through Sunday, November 21-23, 2008. The event features 5 tracks of entertainment including Pop Culture, Science, Sci-Fi, Anime and Gaming with activities, speakers, autograph sessions, Dine with the Stars, Videos, panel sessions, photo opportunities, collectibles, games, networking and a Live concert by the J-Pop wonders The Slants.

Story Musgrave was selected as a scientist-astronaut by NASA in August 1967. He completed astronaut academic training and then worked on the design and development of the Skylab Program. He was the backup science-pilot for the first Skylab mission, and was a CAPCOM for the second and third Skylab missions. Dr. Musgrave participated in the design and development of all Space Shuttle extravehicular activity equipment including spacesuits, life support systems, airlocks, and manned maneuvering units. A veteran of six space flights, Dr. Musgrave has spent a total of 1,281 hours 59 minutes, 22 seconds in space. Dr. Musgrave left NASA in August 1997 to pursue private interests. Story will be joining us to share his exciting and varied experiences with NASA.
Jeffrey Hoffman became an astronaut in August 1979. Dr. Hoffman served as a support crewmember for STS-5 and as a CAPCOM (spacecraft communicator) for the STS-8 and STS-82 missions. Dr. Hoffman has been the Astronaut Office Payload Safety Representative. He also worked on EVA, including the development of a high-pressure spacesuit, and preparations for the assembly of the Space Station. Dr. Hoffman was a co-founder of the Astronaut Office Science Support Group. During 1996 he led the Payload and Habitability Branch of the Astronaut Office. Dr. Hoffman is now a Professor in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. He is engaged in several research projects using the International Space Station and teaches courses on space operations and design. Dr. Hoffman will be at the Science & Technology Experience on Friday only.
Dr. Janes Prego is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. He graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Soon after, he discovered the field of natural medicine. He received his degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore Washington. Bastyr University a fully accredited 4-year Naturopathic medical school and a leading institute in research of natural therapies. Dr. Prego is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and a member of the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Prego will be joining us to discuss holistic medicine.
