News-Antique.com - Oct 27,2008 - Burton, Michigan – 26 October 2008 – Kruck’s Korner Kollectibles, LLC (http://www.tias.com/stores/kruckskk) today announced that after over 1-1/2 years of demolition and construction the antique and collectibles mall, Genevieve’s Antique Treasures, is open for business. Genevieve’s Antique Treasures, named in the honor of the daughter they lost in 2004, has been a true labor of love.
Antiques and collectibles dealers, John & Cindy, having established their business through Antique Shows and their Internet website as well as various other venues, purchased a building in, Burton, Michigan, in April of 2007 with the goal of establishing a lasting tribute to Genevieve. Utilizing the talents they learned from their parents; John and Cindy began renovating a portion of the 20,000 sqft building on S. Saginaw.
Genevieve’s Antique Treasures received its occupancy permit on 15 October 2008 and immediately began signing with other dealers of quality antiques and collectibles.
At the present time this antiques and collectibles mall is over 7000 sqft, is capable of holding 50 dealers, and features a fully ADA accessible site with ramps and wide aisles, large room size booths. Genevieve’s Antique Treasures also features a free reference library, a temperature controlled environment, and plenty of overhead lighting. With this many dealers there is something for everyone; from the serious collector to the person decorating their home. Whether it’s authentic Victorian architectural hardware, vintage and antique furniture, fine pottery and glass, Golden Age comics, or jewelry, Genevieve’s Antique Treasures is almost certain to have it.
Future plans are to establish a coffee shop that would allow customers to sit and admire their most recent treasure as well as Internet access for the customers to do real time research of their treasures.
The story behind the story is filled with both laughs and tears. John says “This has been a true labor of love for us. We stand back and look and we just can’t believe that Genevieve’s Antique Treasures is real. All this would not have been possible without the help of our son, Adam, and our family and friends. We know Gen is looking down on us with pride.”
Genevieve’s Antique Treasures is located at 4371 S. Saginaw in Burton, Michigan; in the Metropolitan area of Flint, Michigan and welcomes customers and dealers alike to stop by and have a look at our treasure. We are open 7 days a week; Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 5:00 p.m.
