Besides being beautiful, hanging lamps are very , very heavy. If one chain link fails, your lamp could instantly become just a pile of broken glass and twisted metal lying on the floor.
That's why it's important to buy from knowledgeable, trustworthy sellers. They'll be there to help, even after the sale.
How do I find a trustworthy seller?
Ask questions. Ask until you know the lamp and the store are right for you.
For example;
· was the burner or socket tested to insure it is working properly?
· Is there a motor or pulley so I can raise and lower my lamp, or will I need a ladder just to light it?
· Have the framework and suspension been safety checked?
