News-Antique.com - Aug 20,2008 - My collection of antique jewelry has expanded enormously over the past few years. I began accumulating jewelry when I was a teenager. I started dressing up my daily outfits with unique and handmade jewelry pieces. On my sixteenth birthday, my mother called me in her room and said she had a present for me. She pulled out a beautiful brooch with rubies. I was shocked that she wanted to give it to me. She told me that her mother had given her that same brooch when she turned sixteen. That brooch is what began my jewelry collection.
Every time we went out of town we would make an extra stop to visit the local antique shops. It was exciting to see what I could find in different cities. I was so delighted when I would find extraordinary antique pieces, which is why I still continue to search for jewelry. This site http://www.iantiqueonline.com is an excellent outlet for me to share my interests in antiques. I enjoy reading what types of jewelry people have in their collection and where they found their pieces. To this day, I still have the brooch my beloved mother gave me. My favorite jewelry pieces usually have amethyst stones, because that is my birthstone jewel.
